Absolutely love this hotel. Traveled with toddlers and the pool/hot tub + playground is AMAZING! We will be back. Guaranteed.

Hotel staff was very friendly. Beds were super comfortable although you could hear some hallway noise. It was very close to several fast food/coffee places.

Poor safety protocol and no reply from the hotel management
I want to warn people about a really upsetting experience my friend and I had a couple weeks ago as guests at Ruby River Hotel. We are two grandmothers traveling together, and after midnight we were just in our room talking and laughing. Out of nowhere, a man started loudly and aggressively pounding on our door. I looked through the peephole, but I couldn't see what he was wearing, and he appeared to be looking down at his phone. To be honest, it scared the crap out of us. As two women alone so late at night, we had no idea if this man was an employee or what he was doing at our door so late. He continued to knock loudly in bursts and yelled out "security!", and I realized he wouldn't leave unless we opened the door. I opened the door with the security latch still on, he was not friendly in the least. He aggressively told us we were too loud and needed to keep it down. If we were being too loud, someone should have called our room instead. There was no reason to send a person to our room. Sending an unidentified man to aggressively bang on our door and intimidate us in the middle of the night is totally unacceptable and made us feel completely unsafe. Was this even an employee of theirs? Is this how they handle noise issues?
What makes this situation even worse is the complete lack of professional accountability. I emailed both local property management and the corporate office twice regarding this and they have completely ignored my messages. They have not offered an apology, an acknowledgment, or a response or any kind. I highly recommend staying elsewhere if you value your peace of mind, personal security, and accountability.

The location is great. It is walkable to the river and downtown. There are lots of restaurants and shopping within walking distance.
The hotel is not freshly renovated but it is not in need of remodeling either. Our room had a bit of a funny smell but we opened the windows and that helped.
We were only there one night and did not use the pool or jacuzzi but they looked nice. The pool is quite large with lots of seating around it. We had a view of the river and the pool

The outdoor pool is amazing, and the hotel is very well located. However, the rooms feel dated, with popcorn ceilings and a noticeable musty smell.
In our first room, the shower drain backed up, which was unpleasant, and the air conditioner made intermittent noises that woke us during the night. The staff moved us to another room the next day. The shower was better, but the AC was still noisy, and the room had the same damp, musty smell.
Overall, the pool and location are excellent, but the guest rooms could use updating and better maintenance.
