It is also a place where some of the most famous ancient artistic inscriptions got discovered. To preserve the heritage of this ancient village, the famous four hundred year old Alma palace was converted into a museum.
Asir National Park is the park of its kind. It covers a large area, extending from the Asir mountains to the coast of the Red Sea. It encompasses many tourism resources and six recreational in addition to a visitor center. The Cable Cars which are called “Telpherage” in Abha are located in the tourist resort of Alsawdah and they help to transport 2,000 people every day during summer vacation. The cable-cars are busy during the evening hours as the number of tourist doubles up at that time. The resort has 12 cable cars moving from the top of AlSawdah to Wadi AL-Aus.
The Ottoman bridge at Al-Basta is a heritage neighborhood and one of the old quarters in Abha which retains some of the elements of the past like some old traditional shops and a group of ancient buildings and castles. Weather of Abha
The city's weather is generally mild throughout the year, the day temperature raises up to 35 C° and night temperature goes down up to 8 C°. Weather is quite clear. Though avoid going there in the month of September as it is quite humid at that time.

Tuesday market is one of the well-known markets in Abha near Al-Fnaneen village when sellers and clients arrive from other cities, you can buy precious antiques and souvenirs from here. There are also many modern commercial centers scattered in the city.
Flights to Abha
Abha Regional Airport (AHB) is Abha's main airport. International flights are available to Yemen Cairo and the Dubai, Sharjah as well as to other destinations within Saudi Arabia. Abha's airport does not facilitate flights out of Saudi Arabia.
