Terrible

Everything was truly awful, dirty room, bed full of hair, an incredible stench in the bathroom, a kind of air conditioner that just made a lot of noise, rude staff. The only positive thing is the location of the place.

Terrible workers

The facilities were of very low quality, beds that creaked every time you leaned on them, the TV did not work, lack of care. The service was the worst, it is the worst hostel I have ever stayed in my life. The treatment was lamentable with very unfriendly staff who spoke to us poorly, even shouting at the time of check-out. Finally, they gave us a lot of problems and bad faces when we requested to leave our luggage at the hostel

Absolutely disgusting experience. Our bedsheets were filthy, full of hair, and even when we requested replacements, they handed us more dirty, wrinkled ones. One of the beds was soaked with sweat, and the blinds didn’t work, so we had to cover the windows with sheets just to block the street lights. The bathroom tap only gave out warm water, and there were boogers smeared on the wall next to the bed. Even the trash can hadn’t been emptied before our arrival. We booked three nights but couldn’t stay past the first.

OK, but expandable

For the less good: The hostel lacks real common areas to socialize. There are at least four floors in one of the buildings (apparently another building belongs to the hostel, but I only learned that shortly before I moved out). On the other hand, the hostel offers breakfast, but I would find 7 € more appropriate for this, 10 € are too expensive. What the hostel can't do for is that the breakfast offer was generally hardly used - although as I said it could also be due to the high price. I.e. even at breakfast you couldn't really get to know people. There is a communal kitchen on a maximum of two out of four floors of the hostel, but it is functional, this is not a common room, there are no sofas or similar, in addition, this is only accessible with an extra key. The hostel only told me as a second answer that this kitchen even exists or that I may use it, even though I did not live on the same floor, and then I also received a key for this kitchen. The first answer was that there was no kitchen in my room. This was inconvenient for me, because in my room there was only a refrigerator and no other opportunity to cook anything; there was not even a table on which you could at least have smeared/eaten bread or something like that. So why the first answer was different from the second one, I don't understand. - In the entrance area of the hostel there are all kinds of flyers for any leisure activities in the city, so they are all outside the hostel: this is a nice Service on the one hand. What is disturbing, however, is that flyers for "professional erotic massages" also hang underneath. Who advertises something like this is actually not really ethically different from the people who offer something like this themselves. So here the hostel and I have irreconcilable ethical differences. - In the elevator it smelled consistently unpleasant, this soiled to be fixed. - The comic wall in my room I found a little oversized. - Well the good thing: The hostel was very flexible in terms of my room choice. Right on the first night I said I needed another room as my room had a large window facing the street and there were loud parties etc. and I can't wear earplugs for health reasons. The hostel then offered me several other rooms and we looked at them together. The one I chose instead was then quiet enough, it cost me no extra, nevertheless it was significantly larger than the previous one, in addition, unlike the previous one, it also contained a:n (quite complete) kitchen, dining table and sofa. I have experienced this differently in other hostels (extra charge paid for changing to a better room). If something was broken, it was repaired by the hostel on my advice. -

Traumatic experience

Awful hostel! I wouldn’t stay here again if someone paid me to! I was awake until 6am with loud bass music, vibrating the room which left me traumatized with a huge headache and having to explore Budapest for the 1 day I was there for with 2 hours sleep!! The block I was in also stank and was very unclean. If you’re paying for something there should still be a level of human rights. I booked 2 nights but ended up staying elsewhere for the 2nd night but received no refund for either nights of my stay. Very disappointed and I hope no one has to go through what I did. Please DO NOT stay here!
