The room didn’t have a window. Linens were dirty and in general the whole room wasn’t very clean. The shower couldn’t stay still. The soap was missing. Smaller than expected. Great location

All in all well

I stayed at Domus Esterna in Rome and, overall, the experience was very positive, especially for one fundamental reason: the location is exceptional. In just five minutes walk you can reach Piazza Navona and the Pantheon, in about ten minutes you get to Trastevere, and the B & B is practically next to Largo di Torre Argentina. A really strategic position to move comfortably on foot and experience the historic center without stress.
The staff deserves a special mention: very nice, friendly and very attentive. It being my birthday, they made me find a bottle of sparkling wine in the minibar. A simple gesture but really appreciated, which makes you feel pampered.
As for the structure and the room, nothing special: everything clean and functional, room in the norm and bathroom perhaps a little small. That said, considering the low price, I didn't expect anything more.
In conclusion, it is not a luxury place, but for location, kindness of the staff and good value for money I would recommend it without problems and would definitely not exclude it for a future stay in Rome.
