Not worth staying

This hotel apartment is not worth staying in if you are coming for a short stay. I did not feel comfortable and after visiting the island I found better hotels in prime location for the same price.
So I would stay in that area if I could. Since we had already paid it was difficult to get out money back.We paid $6000 Mexican dollars for two nights. 3000 per night.
Look at "hotel cabana's Maria del Mar" which offers the same rate and in prime location.
Good points
1. It is clean,
2. Has air conditioning
3. Had door with basic locks4. Gated
Bad points
1. It's far from the main downtown tourist area. You not walk.
2 It doesn't feel safe at night although the apartment is deed gated.
3. The sleep quality is poor because you can get lots of light from the outside. You can hear people talking outside.
4. Door lock is basic lock and it doesn't feel safe.
5. The bed is a cheap quality mattress. They provide you a single bedsheet to cover.

Discrimination for not answering your messages

They didn't even allow me to arrive, we booked through booking.com and 5 hours later they wrote to me to tell me that if I didn't answer their messages they would cancel me and the reservation is still active on the page, the person just denied me entry.
We already had plans to prepare our dinner and they ruined everything.
Terrible experience, really, since they offer to pay upon check-in and they only do it so they can oversell the room and charge the penalty.
That is totally discriminatory.
