What to see & do

One of the oldest temples in India, the Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple is a must-see. Spend the day learning more than 1,000 stories associated with the immaculate sculptures and pillars at the temple. The temple is impressive with a mix of Kerala and Tamil architecture. The temple was even nominated into the last rounds of the 7 Wonders of the World for its impressive architecture which will leave you in awe. Head to the Padmatheertham, a pond within the temple which is also an iconic landmark. If you’re entering the temple from the east entrance, head to the Ramanayar Palace museum which houses a good collection of antiques and treasures from the Travancore era.
