Stylized as AIRFRANCE, Air France, is a French flag carrier headquartered north of Paris in Tremblay-en-France. A founding member of the SkyTeam Global Airline Alliance and a subsidiary of the Air France–KLM Group, Air France’s global hub as well as corporate headquarters are at Charles de Gaulle Airport and Orly Airport.

Available Classes

Air France has either three or four class configurations for the long haul international routes – these include economy, premium economy, business and La première (only A380-800 and 777-300ER). The short haul ones have a 3-cabin configuration, featuring economy, premium economy, and business.


Travellers flying with Air France will need their passport and visa.

Inflight Service

On all long haul international flights, Air France features an inflight entertainment system, along with copies of the airline’s inflight publication Air France magazine. Additionally, a fashion luxury magazine of Air France Madame is included in the business and La première cabins. They play French, Spanish and/or English movies at all times with even some selections from Korean, Hindi, Japanese and Chinese.


Meals are served on all long haul and short haul flights, and champagne is served in all classes on all long-haul flights.

How to Check-in

Passengers can check in online, via mobile and at the airport counter. One can check in online 30 hours before their flight and choose their seat. See here for exceptions. The deadline for check-in is 60 minutes before scheduled departure. Travellers can head here to check-in online by entering reservation reference or ticket number, and flight number. For mobile check in, travellers should head to Air France’s mobile site and follow the same instructions.

Baggage Allowances and Fees

Passengers’ hand baggage + accessory (handbag/coat/walking stick, etc.) must not exceed 12kg/26lbs in economy or 18kg/39.7lbs in first class, as well as the dimensions of 55x35x25 cm/21.7x13.8x9.9 in (including handles, wheels and pockets).
