SpiceJet Airlines

With a candid slogan that says “flying for everyone”, and air fares to match this promise, SpiceJet entered the Indian domestic air travel market in the year 2005. The roots of SpiceJet lie, however, in the much older ModiLuft airlines; one of the first private players to enter the Indian market post de-regulation. Presently, as the third largest airline carrier in 2012, SpiceJet have steadily and surely risen to a commanding market presence of 19%. With its registered office in Chennai and corporate office in Gurgaon, SpiceJet maintains primary hubs at Chennai International Airport, Indira Gandhi International Airport(New Delhi) and Rajiv Gandhi International Airport(Hyderabad). According to the recent DGCA statistics the flight cancellation rate of SpiceJet flights is as low as 1.2%.
