The Amritsar International Airport is known as Sri Guru Ram Dass Jee International Airport and is located on the Amritsar-Ajnala road, which is approximately 11 km northwest of the main city. The airport was named after the fourth Sikh Guru and founder of Amritsar, Sri Guru Ram Dass Ji. It serves as a joint airport for states of Punjab, Jammu division in the state of Jammu and Kashmir and the state of Himachal Pradesh in India.
