  • Al Maktoum International Airport is located in the port town of Jebel Ali, around 50 km southwest of Downtown Dubai. It is part of the planned logistics, commercial and residential complex of Dubai World Central, and serves the region of Dubai. The airport is a hub for the low-cost carrier flydubai and Emirates SkyCargo. Currently, only a handful of low-cost carriers operate passenger services out of Al Maktoum International. When completed, Al Maktoum aims to be the world’s biggest airport.
  • Dubai International Airport is connected to the city via the metro, buses, taxis and private cars. Al Maktoum International Airport is connected to Dubai via buses, metros, general taxis, and private cars.

Currently, Ras Al Khaimah is the only destination in the UAE connected to Dubai International Airport by a direct flight. Al Maktoum Airport isn’t connected to any domestic destinations within the UAE.
