Srinagar International Airport, also known as Sheikh ul Alam Airport is located in Jammu and Kashmir, in India. Presently, international flights from this airport operate to Dubai and a seasonal chartered flight to Jeddah during Haj.
You can easily take a rickshaw or a taxi directly from the city centre directly to the airport. Avoid taking the buses because they are usually crowded and infrequent.

Waking up to the sight of pilgrims praying and volunteering your service at the temple is a unique and humbling experience. The streets around the temple are chaotic and noisy but that only adds character to this city. Take a rickshaw ride to the Wagah Border to catch the Pakistani and Indian guards lowering their respective flags and closing the border gates. On the way back, stop for a refreshing glass of Mango lassi or maybe two.

For a taste of Bollywood, head to Mumbai, the cosmopolitan city of India. Join the Dharavi Slum Tour and explore the exact places where the Slumdog Millionaire movie was filmed. Stop by a street vendor to get some spicy Bhel puri and Koanda Poha, which are what this city is famous for. Stroll down Chowpatty Beach or Juhu Beach for dramatic sunsets with your loved one or just sit on the beach and stare into the horizon. Feel like partying the night away? Head to Hype, one of Mumbai’s top clubs and also the hangout area for some of Bollywood’s top celebrities. Before you leave this city, get your dose of golden brown ladoos and jalebis from the many homemade sweet shops that fill the markets of Mumbai. Remember to pack some home!
