What to see and do

Little Hong Kong covers a really small land area but is one of Asia’s busiest and most populated metropolises. Nightlife experiences can’t get much better – or cheaper – than at Lan Kwai Fong, a street in Hong Kong filled with flashy discotheques, lively bars and colourful taverns. In this densely populated little city you can also chow down on authentic dim sum that has been replicated across the world, but never done quite in the way it is at its source. Treat your sweet tooth to pineapple buns and sweet buttered rolls saturated with condensed milk, and finish off with popular beverage yuanyang.

If you’re in Hong Kong with the young ones, don’t miss a trip to Hong Kong Disneyland for them to meet their favourite cartoon characters in the flesh. With gorgeous backdrops and prop settings, countless mascots, princesses, stuntmen and performers as well as family-friendly rides, you’d have a hard time getting your kids out of there!

For those who have left their childhood behind, how about Victoria Peak instead? It is one of Hong Kong’s most famous attractions, and for good reason. Take the Peak Tram up for a long, enjoyable scenic ride, and be further awed by the panoramic view you get once at the Peak. With stunning vistas as well as great restaurants awaiting your arrival at the top, what’s stopping you from getting on that plane now?
