Best time to visit Dehradun

Nestled amongst the Himalayan foothills, Dehradun is essentially a hill station. Known for having a slightly mild climate all year around, the city does get its fair share of the heat and the rains. When travelling from Chennai to Dehradun, it is recommended to visit between the months of March and June as this is usually the tourist season. During this season, the weather is pleasant and perfect to go sightseeing. By July, the rains sweep over the lush landscapes of Dehradun making it a natural haven for many.
