Scandinavian Airlines
Scandinavian Airlines, which is often shortened to SAS (originally and legally the Scandinavian Airlines System Denmark-Norway-Sweden) is the flag carrier of three Nordic countries – Denmark, Norway and Sweden. It is Scandinavia’s second largest airline in Scandinavia (after Norwegian airlines) in terms of number of passengers. The airline is part of the SAS Group and its base and main hubs are at Oslo Airport and Copenhagen-Kastrup Airport. The airline also has minor hubs at Trondheim Airport, Stavanger Airport, Göteborg Landvetter Airport and Bergen Airport. SAS was founded in the year 1946, and happens to be Europe’s 8th largest airline. It is also one of the founding members of the world's largest alliance, Star Alliance.

The SAS fleet has 157 airlines in total – 4 Airbus A319-100s, 12 Airbus A320-200s, 7 Airbus A320neos, 8 Airbus A321-200s, 8 Airbus A330-300s, 8 Airbus A340-300s, 18 Boeing 737-600s, 29 Boeing 737-700s, 29 Boeing 737-800s, and wet leased aircrafts of 10 ATR 72-600s, 1 Boeing 737-700, and 23 Bombardier CRJ900s.

SAS serves 34 destinations within Scandinavia – 16 in Norway (Ålesund, Alta, Bergen, Bodø, Haugesund, Kirkenes, Kristiansand, Kristiansund, Lakselv, Longyearbyen/Svalbard, Molde, Narvik, Oslo, Stavanger, Tromsø, and Trondheim), 14 in Sweden (Ängelholm, Gothenburg, Kalmar, Kiruna, Linköping, Luleå, Malmö, Östersund, Ronneby, Skellefteå, Stockholm, Sundsvall, Umeå, and Visby) and 4 in Denmark (Aalborg, Aarhus, Billund, Copenhagen).

Available Classes
SAS Airlines has 4 classes – Business Class called SAS Business (1-2-1 on Airbus A330s and upgraded 340s; 2-2-2 A340s and 2-2 on Boeing 777s), SAS Plus Premium Economy Class (2-3-2), SAS Go Economy (3-3 and 2-4-2 on A330s and A340s) and SAS Go Light.

Inflight Service
Scandinavian Airlines’ intercontinental flights offer games, music and movies on personal screens. The airline also features an inflight magazine – the Scandinavian Traveler, which is a fully loaded travel and lifestyle magazine.
Meals
Scandinavian Airlines provides free tea and coffee to SAS GO passengers on short-haul services, but not on very short flights like Stockholm-Visby and Bergen-Stavanger. Hot meals are served to all passengers on long-haul flights. Breakfast is to be purchased on flights departing before 9 am and with a flight time of more than 60 minutes. See here.
