How to get around

From the airport, visitors can take the 24-hour Airport Rail that links the airport to the city centre. Visitors would be able to reach the city centre within 20 minutes by taking the non-stop Phaya Thai Express Line. If you have the time, take the slower city train which stops at seven stations and take as little as 30 minutes to reach the heart of the city. For the budget- conscious, take the local buses which connect the airport to various destinations in Bangkok. It might not be the most comfortable ride though.

Take one of Bangkok’s brightly coloured taxis and tuk-tuks. You can flag them down from almost anywhere in central Bangkok. The extensive metro network is also a convenient way to travel to different attractions within the city.
