IndiGo is a popular, private, low-cost airline that has started its operations in August 2006. IndiGo has grown faster than any other low cost carrier in South Asia because of its model of efficient, low-cost operations and low fares. IndiGo won the Skytrax Central Asia's best low-cost airline award in 2011. In order to maintain the low fares IndiGo’s flights offers only Economy class seating, a complimentary mineral water, no in-flight entertainments and allows only one piece of free check-in baggage.
