Air China, not to be confused with China Airlines, is one of China’s most prominent domestic airline brands. It ranks first in domestic aviation (as of June 2012), and was the official airline partner of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. Air China’s logo comprises its Chinese name written calligraphically, by former national leader Mr. Deng Xiaoping, to resemble a phoenix; the logo is simultaneously an aesthetic transfiguration of the word “VIP”.
In Air China, there is a great emphasis on serving, priding itself on its 4Cs: “Credibility, Convenice, Comfort and Choice”. As of December 2013, Air China has flights to over 31 countries, and 154 cities, both domestically and internationally. Its relatively inexpensive yet comfortable carriers are popular among business travellers and tourists alike.
