Air Europa Líneas Aéreas, S.A.U., commonly known as Air Europa, is the third-largest Spanish airline after Iberia and Vueling. With its hub at Madrid’s Barajas Airport, Air Europa is headquartered in Llucmajor, Majorca, Spain and is wholly owned by the travel and tourism company Globalia, which is managed by Juan José Hidalgo. Its focus cities and hubs include Palma de Mallorca Airport and Barcelona Airport. Air Europa has been a member of the illustrious SkyTeam alliance since September 2007. The airline began its operations in 1986 and has codeshare agreements with 24 airline companies.


Air Europa’s passenger fleet consists of the following aircrafts – 12 Airbus A330-200s, 2 Airbus A330-300s, 2 ATR 72-200s, 2 ATR 72-500s, 21 Boeing 737-800s, 6 Boeing 787-8s, 1 Embraer ERJ-145 and 4 Embraer 195s – a total of 49 aircrafts.

Air Europa flies to the following domestic destinations – Zaragoza, Valladolid, Valencia, Tenerife, Seville, Santiago de Compostela, Salamanca, Palma de Mallorca (focus destination), Menorca, Málaga, Madrid (hub and base), Las Palmas, Lanzarote, La Coruna, Jerez de la Frontera, Ibiza, Granada, Bilbao, Barcelona (focus destination), Badajoz, Asturias and Alicante.

Available Classes

Air Europa features two cabin configurations – Business and Economy Class. Business Class features only on its A330-200, A330-300, 737-800, 787-8 and Embraer 195 aircrafts.

How to Check-in

Passengers can check in online, via mobile app (Android/iOS/Windows), at self-service kiosks and airport counters. Check-in deadline is 1 hour before departure (intercontinental flights) and 45 minutes (national/European flights). Passengers can do a web check-in here using ticket number/booking reference and family name. Web check-in opens 48 hours before and closes 1 hour before flight departure (For flights to/from, its 24 hours).

Baggage Allowances and Fees

Domestic baggage allowances for Air Europa are 23kg x 2pc (Business) and 23kg x 1pc (Economy). Middle distance baggage allowances for Air Europa are 23kg x 2pc (Business) and 23kg x 1pc (Economy).
