How to Check-in

Air Baltic encourages travellers to check in via the website or mobile which is open from 72 hours prior to departure to 1 hour before departure. For those checking-in at the airport counter, a fee of EUR 10 may be applicable. For most destinations, check-in for all classes is at least 30-40 minutes prior to flight departure. Passengers can also use the self-check-in kiosks.

Baggage Allowances and Fees

For Economy Class passengers on Air Baltic, the maximum weight of one piece of checked baggage is 20 kg, and the maximum dimensions of the bag are 100x50x80 cm. Business Class passengers are allowed 2 bags each with a total weight not exceeding 40 kg. Premium Economy passengers are allowed 1 bag not exceeding 20 kg. Business Class passengers are allowed 2 pieces of cabin baggage not exceeding 115 cm in total dimensions, while Economy passengers are allowed 1 cabin baggage not exceeding 115 cm in total dimensions and 8 kg in weight.


Air Baltic flights feature all classes and allow passengers to choose preferred seats for an extra fee of EUR 2.99. Passengers can choose seats while booking tickets online or while physically checking in at the airline counter at the airport.

Online ticket booking of flight tickets can be done via the Air India website or other online portals, which attracts booking fees.


Business Class passengers on Air Baltic are served complimentary meals and beverages, while Economy Class passengers can choose to order from the on-board menu. Passengers can also pre-order and purchase meals while booking or at any time up until 24 hours prior to departure of the flight.

Special Assistance

Air Baltic provides special assistance to those who need it such as unaccompanied minors, passengers with disabilities, and pregnant women.
