Brussels Airlines is Belgium’s largest airline and the national flag carrier. It has its headquarters and base at Brussels International Airport. The airline, which was formed with the merger of Virgin Express and SN Brussels Airlines, is a member of both, the International Air Transport Association and the Star Alliance. Currently, the airline is wholly owned by Lufthansa, which purchased the airline in parts in 2009 and 2017. The airline has code share agreements with 26 airlines.

How to Check-in

Travellers can check-in online, via mobile app, express check-in, check-in at airport counters as well as check-in at one of the city offices. Deadlines for long and short-haul flights are 60-70 minutes and 30-40 minutes before departure respectively. See here. One can check in online here using departure airport name, e-ticket number/booking reference and family name. Travellers can also check in using the mobile app.

Baggage Allowances and Fees

The weight of checked-in bags of passengers should not exceed 32kg each and 158 cm/62.2 inches in dimensions. See here for check-in baggage allowance.
