Cyprus Airways Flights

Cyprus Airways was the former national airline of Cyprus. The airline, headquartered in Nicosia, was based at Larnaca International Airport. It ceased operations in January 2015.

Destinations: apart from Cyprus, Cyprus Airways destinations included Netherlands, Greece, Lebanon, Germany, United Kingdom, Russia, France, Bulgaria, Israel and Switzerland.

Passengers travelling by Cyprus Airways could web check-in as well as print boarding passes beforehand. Passengers could also check-in baggage beforehand by paying extra booking fees. Web Check-in also allows you to check-in your luggage in advance, select your seat, meal options (if available) and many more, before you depart for the flight.

Seating and seat booking

When it came to flight booking, passengers with Cyprus Airways could book seats in advance during online ticket booking. Cyprus Airways had Business Class/First Class (named after Greek god Apollo) and Economy Class (named after Greek goddess Aphrodite).


Cyprus Airways allowed passengers flying Economy Class not more than 20 kg of checked-in baggage and passengers flying Business Class not more than 30 kg of checked-in baggage. Passengers were allowed 1 handbag/cabin bag each weighing maximum 5 kg with maximum dimensions of 115 cm (total dimensions). Children were allowed luggage of not more than 10 kg. Oversize and/or excess baggage attracted extra baggage fees and charges. The airline provided all other travel information including a prohibited item list on their website for passengers.

Meals and in-flight entertainment

Cyprus Airways offered its domestic and international passengers extensive options for in-flight entertainment. The catering facilities at Larnaca Airport catered to the meals served on-board Cyprus Airways. Food and beverages included an array of Cypriot and international cuisine.
