Egypt Airlines

EgyptAir, operates out of the Cairo International Airport. The Egyptian airline is the premier airlines of the country.  EgyptAir operates to over 75 destinations in Africa, the Americas, Asia, and the middle east. The airline was founded in 1931 and began operations in 1933. Known initially as Misr Airwork, the company formally changed names to EgyptAir in 1971.

EgyptAir also runs a domestic service under the EgyptAir Express brand.

The EgyptAir fleet consists of 2 Airbus A320-200, 4 airbuses A321-200, 6 Airbus A330-200, 4 Airbus A330-300, 24 Boeing 737 and 6 Boeing 777-300ERs.

The domestic destinations EgyptAir serves are Abu Simbel, Alexandria, Assuit, Aswan, Cairo, Hurghada, Luxor, Marsah Alam, Marsah Matruh, Port Said, Sharm El Sheikh, Sharq al Owainat and Sohag.

EgyptAir currently has over 70 international destinations in over 50 countries.

Inflight Service

In-flight entertainment (audio and video) is updated every month with a varied selection of international movies, general entertainment, music and documentaries. Travellers can also use personal devices like laptops, portable gaming devices, tablets when specified by the flight crew. EgyptAir provides Wi-Fi and telephony services under the OnAir brand.

Meals

EgyptAir offers non-alcoholic beverages, light snacks and delicious meals. Passengers can also choose between diabetic meals, low fat and salt meals, kosher, Hindu, seafood and vegetarian meals. Infants and toddlers get to choose from the menu.

How to Check-in

All passengers travelling on International flights are advised to check-in at the airport 2hrs prior to departure, counters close 1hr prior to departure. For passengers travelling to Domestic destinations, check-in begins 2 hrs prior to departure with counters closing 30mins prior to departure. Click to check-in online or through smartphone easily between 48hrs and 90mins prior to departure. Passengers will be asked for last name and Reservation number / E-Ticket.

Baggage Allowances and Fees

On international flights, First and Business Class passengers are allowed 2pc of 32kg checked Baggage and 2pc of carry-on baggage not exceeding 8kgs. Economy passengers on international flights are allowed 2pc of 23kg checked baggage and 1 pc of carry-on baggage not exceeding 8kg. Business and First-Class Passengers on domestic flights are allowed 1 piece of 32kg as holding baggage and economy passengers are allowed 1 piece of baggage not exceeding 23kg.

Seating

EgyptAir has three seating classes, first class, business class and economy. All Airbus A320-200s have 145 seats, Airbus A321-200s come with 161 seats, while the Airbus A330-200 has 268 seats. All Airbus A330-300s have 301 seats, Boeing 737- 800s have144 seats and Boeing 777-300ERs have 346 each.

Booking Fees
