Uzbekistan Airways, the flag carrier airline of Uzbekistan, is headquartered in Tashkent, and runs several scheduled flights across the globe to Asia, Europe and North America. The airline was founded in 1992 with mostly erstwhile USSR’s Aeroflot Uzbekistan division. Soon the airline added Airbus and Boeing aircrafts to its fleet as it expanded international routes.

Uzbekistan Airways has code share agreements with AirBaltic, Belavia, KoreanAir, Malasia Airlines, S7 airlines and Ural airlines.


The Uzbekistan Airways fleet consists of 10 Airbus A320-200s, 6 Boeing 757-200s, 7 Boeing 767-300ERs, 2 Boeing 787-8s and 7 Ilyushin II-114-100s.

Uzbekistan Airways’ Domestic Destinations:

Uzbekistan Airways flies to Tashkent, Adinjan, Bukhara, Fergana, Karshi, Namangan, Navoiy, Nukus, Samarkand, Termez, and  Urgench.

Uzbekistan Airways’ International Destinations: 

Uzbekistan Airways’ current international destinations are 46 destinations in Azerbaijan, Belarus, China, France, Germany, India, Israel, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Malaysia, Pakistan, Russia, Singapore, South Korea, Tajikistan, Thailand, Turkey, Ukraine, UAE, UK and USA.   

Available Classes

Uzbekistan Airways has Economy class and Business class seating.


Travellers must carry their passport or photo ID, ticket and boarding pass. Travellers are responsible for all visa formalities to destination countries.

Inflight Service

Inflight entertainment is available on all flights. Passengers can spend time listening to music from different genres, watching movies and TV shows and business class passengers get their own gaming system where you can play with or against any other business class passenger. Uzbekistan Airways offers non-alcoholic beverages, light snacks and delicious meals on all flights. The airline does not serve pork. Special meals can be ordered in advance.

How to Check-in

Domestic passengers should check-in 2hr prior to departure as counters close 20mins prior to departure. International passengers should check-in, at least, 3hrs prior to departure as they will need to fulfil security and immigration procedures. Uzbekistan Airways does not have web or mobile check in services.

Baggage Allowances and Fees

Business class passengers are allowed 30kg of free holding baggage while economy class passengers are allowed 20kg of free holding baggage. All passengers are allowed 1pc Carry-on baggage that weighs less than 7kg and is smaller than 56x45x25cm in dimensions. See here for full details.


All Airbus A320-200 come with 150 seats, all Boeing 757-200s have 184 seats while the Boeing 767-300ERs have 264 seats and the Boeing 787-8s have 246 seats. The Ilyushin II-114-100s come with 54 seats.

Booking Fees

Uzbekistan Airways does not charge a booking fee from passengers who book from the website. Pets can be taken in passenger cabin as carry-on baggage as long as they and their pen or kennel is less than 8kg. Click here to know more about extra services.
