History and Architecture

The earliest style used to construct monuments was the Gothic style, later came the Renaissance period, 17th century baroque architecture followed soon enough, with Jugendstil and Georgian styles being visible near the outskirts.

Food lovers must visit Noordermarkt, an open-style market in Jordaan district, where organic farmers showcase their foods. Waterlooplein Markt-the most famous flea market in the city should be on the top of your list. IJ Hallen is another flea market you must not miss; it’s the biggest in all of Holland.

Amsterdam Central Station is connected to the airport by trains that run every 10 minutes and it is the quickest way to get to the main city. These trains leave from platform 1 and 2.
