PAL Express Flights

Pal Express aims to be your home in the sky, offering personalised services at wallet-friendly fares. Previously identified as Airphil Express, the airline has since been transformed and rebranded as the current PAL Express with effect from 2013. While international carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) engages the global domain, Pal Express is its budget solution to connecting regional and domestic destinations from its base at the Manila Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Pasay City, Manila. Although independent of each other, Pal Express is very much in alliance with its international sister carrier and operates a fleet comprising Airbuses and Bombardier airliners.

Why Fly with PAL Express

Check In

A multitude of check-in options are available, and passengers may check in from wherever they are currently located, be it online, on the mobile, or at the Pal Express ticketing counters. Regular seat selections are offered during web check in, and passengers may drop off their baggage at the web check-in counters located at the respective terminals. To ensure that mileages are credited, frequent flyers are advised to cite their Mabuhay Miles membership details during reservations and bring along their membership cards for verification while checking in.

Baggage Allowance and Fees

Complimentary baggage allowance is aligned with the passenger’s respective ticket fares, as well as domestic, regional and international flights. Depending on the passenger’s preference, domestic flights offer up to 20 kg of free baggage, while regional flights offer free baggage weight starting from 20 kg. On the other hand, international flights adhere to the number of baggage pieces checked in, but once again this is subject to the passenger’s class and destination/departure cities. Excess baggage will entail charges corresponding to flight destinations and departure cities.

Surcharges will apply for Choice Seats selection which encompasses exit rows or bulk head seats, guaranteed to optimise one’s comfort levels on board.

Inflight Services

Ipad rentals are available on several flight routes, offering access to extensive selections of entertainment choices from movies, television programmes, games, music and the Mabuhay magazine. This will ensure that passengers are kept occupied throughout their journey. Unlike usual budget flights, Pal Express extends complimentary snacks and drinks, newspapers and magazines to its passengers within the aircraft, seeking to once again enhance their flight with Pal Express. Domestic flights are also equipped with Buy on Board services, where passengers may conveniently purchase souvenirs and food and beverages in-flight at reasonable prices.

While Pal Express is dominant in the home market, it also connects to four international destinations; namely Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, and most recently in 2013, Dubai. More long-haul flights by Pal Express are expected to commence in the near future, given its close partnership with Philippine Airlines. Students, senior citizens, and the disabled are entitled to a 20% discount on all fares, subject to respective terms and conditions.
