If you're travelling from India to Bali, the first step is understanding the visa requirements. Securing the right visa makes your entry into Bali as smooth as possible. Let's explore all the necessary travel documents, visa types, and health requirements for Indian citizens visiting Bali.
Bali visa requirements for Indian citizens
You can get a visa on arrival. Wait times typically range from 30 minutes to over an hour. You'll need to queue at a payment counter, then proceed to immigration. Skip the lines and get faster entry by applying for an eVisa in advance.
Travellers who are permanent residents of Singapore do not need a visa to visit Batam Island, Bintan Island and Karimun for a maximum of 4 days.
Travellers can obtain a visa on arrival for Tourism at 16 airports, 6 land borders, and 95 seaports. Travellers with a visa on arrival for Tourism can leave Indonesia from any airport, land border, or seaport.
Travellers with a Visa on arrival can extend their stay once for an additional 30 days.
Travellers who possess an ordinary, official, diplomatic, emergency, or temporary passport are eligible for a visa on arrival.
Travellers need a visa to visit Indonesia for Business or Tourism. An Indonesian eVisa is the fastest way to obtain a visa. Travellers can apply online. Once approved, travellers receive their eVisa confirmation electronically.
Travellers arriving in Indonesia with an eVisa must be staying in Indonesia for visit purposes only and be financially sufficient during their stay in Indonesia. Travellers arriving in Indonesia with an eVisa are prohibited from employment or attending events as a speaker.
Travellers who are permanent residents of Singapore do not need an eVisa to visit Batam Island, Bintan Island and Karimun for a maximum of 4 days.
Travellers visiting the province of Bali must pay an international tourist tax of IDR 150,000.00 (USD 10.00). This requirement does not apply to travellers visiting other regions in Indonesia.
The payment can be made online before arrival or at the payment counter available at a port of entry in Bali. Travellers will receive proof of payment with a QR Code sent via email.
This requirement doesn’t apply to the following travellers:
- Indonesian nationals
- Holders of diplomatic and official visas
- Crew members on transportation vehicles
- Holder of Temporary Stay Permit Card (KITAS) or Permanent Stay Permit Card (КІТАР)
- Holders of Family unification visas
- Holders of Student visas
Travellers with Golden visas and other visa holders must apply for an exemption through the Love Bali system at least 5 days before arriving in Bali. Other visa holders may show their visa or permit card on arrival to obtain an exemption.
