Argentina visa requirements for Indian citizens
Travellers may be eligible to apply for an Electronic travel authorization (eTA) to visit Argentina for Tourism. Travellers can apply online. Once approved, travellers receive their eTA confirmation electronically.
The following travellers are eligible to apply for Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) before entering Argentina:
- Travellers who don’t need a visa to enter United States and who can demonstrate that they entered United States at least 1 time in the last 2 years
- Travellers who already have a valid ESTA ( Electronic Travel Authorization for United States)
- Travellers who have a valid United States B1, B2, J, P (P1-P3), E and H1-B visa.
This travel authorization requirement doesn’t apply to the following travellers:
- Travellers who are transiting through Argentina and stay in the airport transit area for a maximum of 12 hours and have an onward ticket.
Electronic travel authorization for Argentina.
Travellers need a visa to visit Argentina for Business. Travellers must obtain a paper or embassy visa from an embassy, consulate or visa center before travelling.
This visa requirement doesn’t apply to the following travellers:
- Travellers with a valid permanent resident card (green card) do not need a visa to enter Argentina if staying for 90 days or less for Tourism
- Travellers with a valid United States visa do not need a visa to enter Argentina if staying for 90 days or less for Tourism.
Travellers must have travel health insurance when travelling to Argentina.
This travel health insurance requirement doesn’t apply to the following travellers:
- Travellers who are citizens and permanent residents of Argentina.
Travellers must have proof of accommodation during their stay in Argentina. If travellers will be hosted by a relative or friend, a letter of invitation will be requested.
Travellers require proof of a ticket showing their entrance and exit from Argentina.
This requirement doesn’t apply to the following travellers:
- Nationals of Argentina
- Foreign nationals residing in Argentina.
Travellers need a valid passport to enter Argentina. The traveller's passport must remain valid for at least 6 months after the traveller arrives in Argentina. The passport must have at least 2 blank pages.
Travellers should consider:
- Yellow Fever if travelling to Corrientes and Misiones provinces (not recommended for other itineraries)
- Hepatitis A and Hepatitis B vaccines
- Typhoid vaccine for visits to smaller cities or rural areas
- Routine vaccines including Measles
