Travellers must complete a digital arrival card online before arriving at Tan Son Nhat International Airport (SGN), Noi Bai International Airport (HAN), Da Nang International Airport (DAD), Cam Ranh International Airport (CXR), or Phu Quoc International Airport (PQC) in Vietnam. The form can be completed within 3 days of arrival.
Once the form is submitted, the system generates a QR code that travellers can present to immigration officers upon arrival. Travellers who don't complete the form before arrival may experience longer processing times at immigration.
Currently, this requirement only applies to arrivals at Tan Son Nhat International Airport, Noi Bai International Airport, Da Nang International Airport, Cam Ranh International Airport, and Phu Quoc International Airport.
This requirement doesn't apply to the following travellers:
- Travellers arriving at other ports of entry
- Vietnamese citizens travelling on a Vietnamese passport
- Travellers transiting Vietnam without clearing immigration.
Travellers need a valid passport to enter Vietnam. The traveller's passport must remain valid for at least 6 months after the traveller arrives in Vietnam.
Travellers should consider:
- Hepatitis A and Hepatitis B vaccines
- Typhoid vaccine for visits to smaller cities or rural areas
- Routine vaccines including Measles
- Japanese Encephalitis vaccine for extended stays or rural activities (not recommended for short-term travel to urban areas or travel to areas with no clear Japanese Encephalitis season).
Additional vaccine recommendations may apply. Consult your healthcare provider and check the source for details.
