Colombia visa requirements for Indian citizens
Travellers need a visa to visit Colombia for Business or Tourism.
An Colombia eVisa is the fastest way to obtain a visa. Travellers can apply online. Once approved, travellers receive their eVisa confirmation electronically.
The visa requirement doesn’t apply to the following travellers:
- Holders of a valid visa or residence permit issued by the United States or a Schengen member state with a minimum validity of 180 days at the time of entry to Colombia.
Travellers must have proof of accommodation during their stay in Colombia.
If travellers will be hosted by a relative or friend, the host must provide a signed letter of invitation, stating the address and contact phone number. It should include the identification details of both the host and the traveller, and indicate whether the host will cover the traveller’s living expenses. Alternatively, the traveller may attach bank or credit card statements to demonstrate financial solvency.
Travellers who hold Colombian citizenship in addition to another nationality should enter and depart Colombia using a valid Colombian passport. Travellers arriving without a Colombian passport may enter by presenting proof of Colombian nationality, such as a national identity card, but may be required to obtain a Colombian passport before departing the country.
Travellers need a valid passport to enter Colombia. The traveller's passport must remain valid throughout the traveller's stay in Colombia.
Travellers require proof of a ticket showing their entrance and exit from Colombia.
This requirement doesn’t apply to the following travellers:
- Nationals of Colombia
- Foreign nationals residing in Colombia.
Travellers are encouraged to complete a pre-registration form (CheckMig) before departure to Colombia. The form can be completed between 72 hours and 1 hour before travel. Completing the form in advance may reduce waiting times at immigration checkpoints.

- Travellers under the age of 18.
