United Arab Emirates visa requirements for Indian citizens
Travellers need a visa to visit United Arab Emirates for Business or Tourism. A United Arab Emirates eVisa is the fastest way to obtain a visa. Travellers can apply online. Once approved, travellers receive their eVisa confirmation electronically.
This visa requirement doesn’t apply to the following travellers:
- Travellers holding a valid United States visa or permanent resident card (green card);
- Travellers holding a United Kingdom or European Union visa or residence permit valid for at least six months;
- Travellers holding a residence permit from Australia, Canada, Japan, New Zealand, Republic of Korea, or Singapore valid for at least six months.
Eligible travellers can apply online to obtain a pre-approved visa on arrival.
Travellers need a valid passport to enter United Arab Emirates. The traveller's passport must remain valid for at least 6 months after the traveller arrives in United Arab Emirates.
Travellers must have a passport with at least 2 words in the names sections. Travellers with 1 name (1 word) on their passports cannot enter United Arab Emirates. Passports with 2 names added as observations or annotations are accepted. This requirement doesn’t apply to travellers with a United Arab Emirates resident card.
Travellers with the gender “U” or “X” included on their passport cannot enter or transit United Arab Emirates.
Travellers arriving in United Arab Emirates who are carrying AED 60,000 (USD 16,300.00) or more in total value must complete the online Customs Declaration Form. This includes cash, checks, money orders, gold, jewelry, precious stones, or items subject to import taxes.
All other travellers do not need to complete this form.
Customs clearance
Travellers must provide proof of sufficient funds to enter United Arab Emirates.
Travellers bringing pets, specifically dogs and cats, into the United Arab Emirates are required to complete an Import Permit Form online. Additional requirements depend on the type of animal.
