If you're travelling from India to Belize, the first step is understanding the visa requirements. Securing the right visa makes your entry into Belize as smooth as possible. Let's explore all the necessary travel documents, visa types, and health requirements for Indian citizens visiting Belize.
Belize visa requirements for Indian citizens
Travellers need a visa to visit Belize for Business or Tourism. Travellers must obtain a paper or embassy visa from an embassy, consulate or visa center before travelling.
The visa requirement doesn’t apply to the following travellers:
- Travellers with valid multiple entry visa or Permanent Residence Card from the United States
- Travellers with valid multiple-entry Schengen visas
- Travellers with valid multiple entry visas or Permanent Residence Cards from Canada.
Travellers arriving in Belize via Philip Goldson International Airport (BZE) must complete an Immigration and Customs Declaration. Travellers can complete the form online.
Travellers completing the form online will be provided with a QR code to display upon arrival.
Belize Travel
Travellers under 18 years of age must have a letter of parental/guardian consent. Children travelling with one parent/guardian require a notarized letter of authority from the other parent/guardian indicating travel consent. Please see the source for more details.
Travellers are recommended to have proof of booking at a Gold Standard Certified Hotel or accommodation.
This requirement doesn’t apply to the following travellers:
- Citizens and residents of Belize.
Travellers need a valid passport to enter Belize. The traveller's passport must remain valid for at least 6 months after the traveller arrives in Belize.
Travellers require proof of a ticket showing a return to their origin country or the next destination from Belize.
This requirement doesn’t apply to the following travellers:
- Nationals of Belize
- Foreign nationals residing in Belize.
Travellers are recommended to have travel insurance with COVID-19 coverage.
This insurance recommendation doesn’t apply to the following travellers:
- QRPs
- Foreign homeowners
- Citizens and permanent residents of Belize and long-stay non-nationals
- Diplomats and military personnel
- Peace Corps Volunteers
- Airline crew and travellers in Belize for less than 24 hours.
