This visa requirement doesn’t apply to the following travellers:

  • Travellers with a valid multiple-entry visa or residence permit for the United States or Canada;
  • Travellers with a valid residence permit from a Schengen country, the United Kingdom, Ireland, the French part of St Martin, or one of the countries of the Netherlands in the Caribbean (Aruba, Bonaire, St Eustatius and Saba, or Curacao);
  • Travellers with a valid residence permit from French Guiana, Guadeloupe, Martinique, Mayotte, Réunion, Saint Barthélemy or Saint Martin.

All travellers, including children, are required to complete the Sint Maarten Embarkation Disembarkation Card (ED) online before travel. This applies to all travellers visiting, transiting, or residing in Sint Maarten, as well as overnighting crew.

The online form is currently in a testing phase. If it is unavailable, travellers who are unable to complete it online may still fill out a paper version upon arrival.

Travellers require proof of a ticket showing their entrance and exit from Sint Maarten.

This requirement doesn’t apply to the following travellers:

  • Nationals of Sint Maarten;
  • Foreign nationals residing in Sint Maarten.

Travellers must have sufficient funds between USD 100 and 200 to enter Sint Maarten.

Travellers staying in a hotel must have sufficient funds between USD 150 and 200 per person per day, and travellers staying with family must have sufficient funds of 100 USD per person per day.
